Advice on how to proceed w/Webstudio

At a glance

The community member Saif is attempting to create a projects-based volunteering organization to improve disability standards at their educational institution. They created an interactive digital pamphlet in Canva to explain the situation, but want to migrate it to a website platform. Saif is new to website building and is struggling to recreate the Canva site on Webstudio, as they are unfamiliar with the platform.

In the comments, another community member Yannick responds that recreating the Canva pamphlet as a simple, interactive website on Webstudio is possible, even with limited experience. Yannick offers to directly support Saif by helping build a clean and accessible website that fits their needs. The other commenter expresses appreciation for Yannick's helpful response.

Useful resources
Hi there! My name is Saif, I'm I'm attempting to create a projects-based volunteering organization to help improve the disability-standards at my educational institution.

Recently, as a push to try and get more help from other professionals that I know, I created an interactive digital pamphlet in Canva to try and help explain our situation in a simple and easy-to-understand format, as seen here:

https://wat-dahell.my.canva.site/able-alliance-revamp-interactive-pamphlet

That all being said, I've been looking at the site and seeing how it's literally just a series of different images connected to one another w/invisible buttons casted over pngs, I wanted to migrate it over to something actually designed to run a website. I only get one shot at convincing people to help us, and the more interactive/impressive it is, the better our chance of helping more disabled students in the long-run at our school.

I just spent the last 3 hours trying to re-create this canva site on Webstudio, but because I'm so new to the platform I couldn't even figure out how to center an image, let alone make it clickable. I've become a little bit spoiled w/drag-and-drop elements and designers like Figma and Canva, so I was lost on what to do even after consulting the AI, watching video tutorials, etc.

For context, I am very... very... VERY new to website building, with all of my prior experience being low-level blogs and other sites made in squarespace, wix and most recently Figma. I've coded before in the past, but I am... not the best with it.

I just wanted to ask here how difficult it would be to re-create this Canva site on Webstudio with my extremely limited experience. I don't have much time and have difficulty concentrating due to chronic pain, so doing the tutorials will take time that I don't have. To be clear, I want to learn how to use the site later on, but for my current purposes of making a quick and on-the-go type of product, is Webstudio the best way to go?

Hey Saif,

What you’re trying to do is absolutely possible — turning that Canva pamphlet into a simple, interactive website is 100% doable, even with limited experience.

Webstudio is a solid platform, and they do have great beginner-friendly videos on YouTube like this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0Gb7xNElGw

That said, since time and energy are limited for you right now, I’d be happy to support you more directly. If you want, I can help you build a clean and accessible website that fits your needs and gets your message across effectively. Just message me directly and we can work something out — no pressure at all.

What you're doing is really meaningful, and I’d love to contribute if I can.

Best regards,
Yannick
