Unsolicited Bulk Communications

At a glance

The community members are discussing the meaning of "unsolicited bulk communications". One member suggests it refers to sending spam and linking it to a webstudio website. Another member was planning to do cold email marketing, linking to their own website hosted on webstudio, and using dynamic routing to create a template. They were unsure if this would be considered unsolicited. Other members clarified that cold email is not always spam, and the term "unsolicited" is used to cover any communication initiated from the platform, even if it's not necessarily spam.

hey guys, what does it mean by unsolicited bulk communications?

sending spam around and linking it to webstudio website
oh, I was planning on doing cold email linking to my website (own domain) but hosted on webstudio. I really wanted to using the dynamic routing to make a template. Hopefully that's fine right?
technically, I would be using a cold email platform like lemlist, and if they interact, I send them to the website, I'm not necessary using the website itself to do anything unsolicited
cold email isn't always spam
I agree, I was just worried about the "unsolicited" part
You're good. That term is to cover us in case any sort of communication is initiated from the platform
