The community member is experiencing an issue with the Webstudio builder where the desktop breakpoint they set manually at 1920px disappears when they switch to preview mode and back. They find this very annoying and are unsure if they are doing something wrong. The comments suggest that the issue may be related to canvas resizing rather than changing the breakpoint itself. Some community members note that this behavior is also observed in other tools like Webflow. There is a discussion around whether the behavior should reset the breakpoint when switching modes, and a suggestion to add a setting to change this behavior. However, there is no explicitly marked answer to the issue.
Hi! I have an annoying issue with Webstudio builder. For example I work on macbook and I love to see my desktop breakpoint on 1920px in Webstudio. In Webstudio I set this amount manually and it looks great. When I go to the preview mode and go back my 1920px are gone and I see the website in way smaller screen size. Changing it every time is very annoying. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
need to think if this may have some implications, normally when you switch modes, we always return it to a standard value at the current breakpoint, because otherwise it could be that you resized to something very big just for testing, then quit the preview and expect it to reset
I was building something this week and also noticed that I am often making a larger screen than whats a fit for base breakpoint and then switching back to canvas and back to larger screen and have to resize again
